I'm in the crocodile's tummy!

Welcome to one of the highest quality indoor crawling tunnels on the market. Your sweetpea will love creeping through this sturdy indoor tunnel made of blended fabric. The mesh fabric on top becomes a window to the world for toddlers inside. The internal structure is made of metal and is easy to set up and take down.

Unlike most indoor crawling tunnels, this one provides a chemical-free zone for your children. There are no harmful chemicals such as fire retardants, water repellents, BPA, PVC and phthalates.

It folds down completely for easy, safe-saving storage. This crawling tunnel was featured on the Today show as one of the Top Toys of 2015. It was also featured in Parents Magazine November 2015 issue.

Developmental Value

Crawling is a critical milestone for babies. The mechanics of crawling strengthens the muscles of the body but perhaps more important is that crawling stimulates areas of the brain that are important for future learning. Repetitious movement helps organize neurons in the brains. This leads to stronger cognitive processes such as memory, comprehension, and concentration.

Eye-hand coordination becomes established with crawling. When a baby crawls, she plans with her eyes and brain where she wants to go. Then she physically motors her way there with her hands. The eyes are focused on the goal and the hands are physically creating the action. Eye-hand coordination will continue to strengthen in life and will become critical in activities like eating, dressing, writing, and physical sports.

Some studies suggest that missing the crawling milestone or crawling for a very short time period may lead to learning challenges. Of course this isn't true in all cases, but the benefits of crawling are more than we list here and all babies should be encouraged to crawl.

The crocodile crawling tunnel can be used in a variety of ways. Here are just a few simple suggestions to encourage crawling.

  1. Parents can encourage children to crawl through by moving balls to a box. Box at one end and balls on the other end so the child crawls back and forth.

  2. Tunnel crawling can get exciting when you place obstacles like pillows or blankets underneath the crawling tunnel. Small, soft obstacles inside the tunnel are another approach.

  3. The tunnel can become a reading fort. Parent and child crawl in together to read a book.

  4. Place Cheerios or popcorn at designated spots along the tunnel path. When baby finds the pieces, she gets to eat them as she crawls along.
